License & Legal Signing

In Arizona, you will obtain your marriage license from the county prior to the ceremony. In order to do so, both applicants must be present with valid ID. Right after the ceremony we will sign the marriage certificate together with two witnesses of your choosing. You will then have 30 days to either mail or bring back in the certificate to the county. They will mail you a certified copy of the license.

Vows

Write your own vows or have me offer example vows to choose from. If you are stuck in writing your own vows, I can help refine tone and length so it feels true to you. If you prefer short vows, or are nervous about reading your vows on the day of, you can just repeat after me during the ceremony. Whatever is needed to help you communicate your promise to your partner and feel grounded in the moment.

Microphone & Sound Setup

Microphones and sound systems are typically arranged by the DJ, or venue. For outdoor locations, a lapel mic or handheld is recommended to handle wind. We’ll do a quick sound check before guests arrive when possible. If no microphone is used, also no problem! We can project loud enough for your guests to hear.

Rehearsal Policy

The Ceremony + Rehearsal package includes my participation or direction of your rehearsal. Expect about 60 minutes to walk through processional, positions, readings, rings, recessional, and to answer any questions you and your guests may have so you feel ready for the big day.

Cancellation & Refunds

Life happens—please notify as soon as possible. Deposits save the date and are typically non‑refundable. If the ceremony is postponed, we’ll work to accommodate a new date.

Travel & Venue Locations

Based in Tucson, Courtney serves Tucson and Southern Arizona – and is open to discuss travel to other locations. Travel within a local radius is included; extended travel or special permits may add additional fees, which we’ll review together when you share your venue and timeline.
